Organization
The position as Electro Technical Rating/Electro Technical Officer (ETR/ETO) belongs to the engine department. The ETR/ETO reports to the Chief Engineer.
Authority
The ETR has the authority to:
Stop any work they consider to be hazardous to personnel, the environment or assets.
Education/Certification
Qualifications appropriate for the vessel on which they are assigned as required by flag state regulations.
Working Experience
It is preferred that the ETR/ETO has previous experience from vessel type.
