This position requires strong technical leadership, hands-on experience with high-speed marine engines, and sound knowledge of PMs.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of all main propulsion and auxiliary machinery.
· Monitor and maintain engine performance, fuel systems, and power generation systems.
· Implement planned maintenance schedules in accordance with the company’s PMS and OEM standards.
· Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and ISM Code requirements.
· Maintain accurate engineering logs, records, and reports for submission to the Technical Department.
· Supervise and mentor engine room crew, ensuring adherence to safety and operational procedures.
· Conduct regular machinery inspections and assist in troubleshooting and repairs as required.
· Liaise with the Master and shore-based technical team on operational and maintenance issues.
Requirements
· Certificate of Competency (COC): Class 1 – Unlimited
· Minimum of 3–5 years’ sea experience as Chief Engineer or 2nd Engineer on crew boats or high-speed crafts.
· Strong knowledge of diesel engines, generators, and propulsion systems (Caterpillar, Cummins, or equivalent).
· Valid STCW certificates, Seafarer’s Medical, Yellow Fever, and other mandatory marine documents.
· Good communication and reporting skills.
· Experience in oil and gas or offshore logistics operations is essential.
Contract Terms
Remuneration: $ 6,000 p/m
