We are looking to employ Crane Drivers to our Construction vessels for
permanent employment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Execute working orders given by Chief Officer or Chief Enginner.
Operation of all cranes onboard (report to Chief Officer).
Daily maintenance of all cranes onboard (reports to Chief Enginner).
Control of all types of lifting gear, deck – engine.
Maintain inventory/copy of certificates of all lifting gear onboard the vessel.
Check that all lifting equipment are delivered with a valid certificate. Original to Ch.Off, copy to be filed.
Monthly control of/color tagging of all slings – strap & Lifting Appliances
Training of flag- men (Rigger and Slinger).
Training of crane operators in use of cranes. Training deck crew in use of other cranes.
Participate in the Safety Morning Meeting.
Duties and responsibilities of the AB/Technical Crane Operator shall include, but are not limited to these tasks.
When not operating the crane or do maintenance for a longer period of time the AB/Technical Crane Operator shall act as an
AB and undertake the duties described in the AB’s job description.
Education/Training
G5 ( plus VHF Certificate) or Sparrow 3
AB or Motormen Certificate
Offshore Medical and Malta Health Declaration.
HUET course
IMO 60 (If Norwegian)
Experience
Minimum 3-years’ experience with G5 Certificate or Sparrow 3
Knuckle boom/AHC experience.
