Vacancy Chief Officers (D.P.O.)

As Chief Officer you are responsible for loading and unloading operations and the entire deck department. You also navigate the ship from loading ports to discharge ports. You are also responsible for cargo handling and voyage planning. Ordering inventory and parts also falls under your domain. You report directly to the Captain.

Abis Shipping ships sail all round Europe and North Africa. The sailing / leave schedule is confirmed after deliberation.

Job requirements

· A Certificate of Competency “Chief Mate”, valid medical and various other
abilities.
· Independent and stress resistant.
· Good communicative and administrative skills.
· Some ICT knowledge is an advantage.
· A good knowledge of Dutch and English. Knowledge of German is an
advantage.
· Experience in the project cargo sector and a complete DP certificate is an
advantage.
