Waiter – Waitress Cruise Job
A Seabourn cruise offers a unique holiday experience combining all the facilities of an intimate cruise ship with the soul of a private yacht. Consistently voted ‘best of the best’ by leading travel authorities, our excellent customer service sets us apart – even if it means a little lateral thinking to grant a seemingly impossible request.
If you’re flexible, ambitious and totally committed to achieving customer satisfaction, this is a great learning opportunity. As a bar waiter/waitress, you’ll be responsible for all food and service related issues in your assigned station – in addition to restaurant table silver service, that could include everything from afternoon teas, buffet breakfasts and Captain’s cocktail parties to assisting with special events and the Lido. You’ll be expected to learn the names of the guests at your tables, to handle special requests and dietary requirements, and to help with embarkations, stores, baggage, cleaning and other duties. Ongoing training will be provided, not just in standards, regulations and procedures but also to develop your abilities.
Having ideally completed catering college or a recognised apprenticeship programme, you’ll have gained substantial full-time restaurant experience, preferably in a 4 or 5 star establishment, catering to an international clientele. Experience aboard a cruise ship would be a big advantage, whilst self-motivation, presentation, team and customer skills plus a willingness to learn are all essential. Your job role will also need a good command of spoken and written English.
In return, you can expect competitive rewards and excellent promotion opportunities.
