Manta drives over 20M monthly visitors to local business listings with its business directory. And Manta is evolving – moving beyond a simple directory, to feature more services to aid small businesses. Making this transition requires a renewed focus on data and insights. The Product Analyst reports to the Head of Product. You will have a strong, direct, visible impact on moving Manta forward.
What you’ll be doing:
Get hands-on with the data. Work with our engineers to find the data you need. Instrument and tag the flows. Deploy new tools where you need them. (We currently use Google Analytics, BigQuery, SQL, and R for much of our work).
Communicate your findings. You’ll have quick weekly KPI checks, monthly reports, and time to do deep-dive ad hoc analyses. Make sure your insights get used.
Balance your time. The media/directory business and the subscription business will want your time. So will everyone else. Support them, but use your time well.
Stay on top of the business. Watch business health, build alerts day-to-day. And then forecast and budget for the next quarters.
What you need to be successful:
Curiosity. Thirst for data, hunger for insight.
Clarity. Experience communicating out & up with impact.
Proven experience. 3-5 years of analytical experience with large data sets. Bonus points if they weren’t clean.
Strong toolkit. High fluency with SQL, Excel, web analytics. And ready to learn more.
Deep skills. Forecasting/budgeting, A/B tests, conversion funnels, AARRR, LTV, etc.

Position is located in either Columbus, OH or Oakland, CA, and will require less than 25% travel.
