Job Description:
1.Master Mariner / Captain must have AHT ( Anchor Handling Tug vessels) - (vessels above 500tons ) hands on experience
2.Responsible for commanding and managing all of the personnel on the ship, and is usually responsible for all of the inventories, payrolls and accounting on the ship.
3.Responsible for complying with customs and immigration regulations, keeping up with the documentation and certificates on the ship as well as complying with the security plan for the vessel, according to the International Maritime Organization.
4.Must respond to and reports on accidents, incidents, injuries and illness among the passengers and crew aboard the ship.
5.No other official authorities that are present on board the ship, while at sea have the power to overrule the Master Mariner/Captain.
6.Everyone aboard, including the crew and the passengers, remain under the authority and command of the Master Mariner/Captain and must conform to all navigation and nautical laws.
All candidates will need excellent written/spoken English necessary. A Marlins test score of 85% minimum or equivalent qualification.
Candidates should have all proper certifications, Good knowledge with towing and anchor handling experienced along with good communication skills and safe vessel handling capabilities.
(Prior experience with VOITH Schneider Propeller system very desireable) Location: North Sea
