Manager of Projects
The individual in this position is responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of the Project Management Department. This includes management of the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of all project deliverables. Success is achieved through effective leadership and relationship to the customer, project and employee requirements to ensure successful on-time project completion.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise project management team from initial request to closure meetings, providing advice and support as necessary.
Schedule and allocate project work within project management group.
Provide feedback on project progress to General Manager.
Ensure all project costing, scheduling and budgeting requirements are met through proactive observation, intervention and communication.
Provide expert engineering advice and support as necessary.
Provide planning, forecasting and coordination of current and upcoming projects with internal and external stakeholders.
Supervise Client relations to create, maintain and continue positive relationships.
Responsible for financial performance of department resources and implementing improvement strategies.
Provide guidance on management of project change.
Analyze and report on the department’s key performance indicators and industry trends.
Supervise and direct implementation of department procedures.
Recruitment and selection of project management team talent.
Provide performance and career developmental feedback.
Promote interdepartmental communication and resolve conflict.
Ensure safety compliance of staff and vendors under their control.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Mechanical Engineering Degree, professional designation is considered an asset.
Minimum 5 years of experience within a structural steel, fabrication or modular construction environment.
Minimum 5 years of experience supervising a Project Management team. Location: Worldwide
