Second Engineers (m/f)

As a subsidiary of HAMBURG SUD, COLUMBUS SHIPMANAGEMENT is responsible for the ship management of Hamburg Sud-owned vessels.

As part of fleet expansion we are seeking for the earliest possible date:

Your Duties and Responsibilities:

Technical management incl. assigning jobs to the engine crew
Planning and implementing maintenance measures
Main engine maintenance and repair
Assisting at surveys by the classification society or statutory bodies
Preventing marine pollution by oil, chemicals, effluents and ship’s waste
Monitoring industrial safety, fire protection and accident prevention
Occupational safety as a safety delegate
Fuel transfer system
Your Requirements:

Valid licenses and certificates in accordance with STCW Manila Amendment
Technical skills and stable engineering background that includes experience with engines and mechanisms from various suppliers
High Voltage experience
Understanding of and able to deal with different nationalities
Flexibility and you are open-minded, especially for new challenges
