Outside Sales – Company Car provided
Territory: Midwest
Identify Eastbound and Westbound accounts to increase market share
Develop and strategically sell Hamburg Süd’s services. Close new business to increase market share and achieve target revenue, contribution margins & volumes for the territory
Execute creative strategies to secure new business opportunities for existing and new accounts
Customer Relationship Management - Develop relationships with accounts and become knowledgeable about their business and markets. Assist in resolving customer relation issues when applicable
Develop, meet/exceed Sales Budgets
Keep customers apprised of various economic/international factors that may affect the transportation of their cargo
Maintain the best interest of Hamburg Süd North America and provide outstanding customer service at all times
Requirements
Local Midwest Candidates/US Citizens/Permanent Residents
College Degree Preferred
TransPacific Trade Lane Experience - Eastbound & Westbound a plus
High Energy, Results Driven Individual
Prior related sales experience a plus
Ability to work in a fast paced changing environment
Successfully manages negotiation process and able to close business
Strong analytical skills
In-depth understanding of international commerce and shipping processes
Frequent Travel required
Strong knowledge of Excel and Microsoft applications
