• Dutch COC 3/E, at least valid for 6 months after signing off
• DSV experience
• Written reference/previous appraisals
• passport (at least valid for 6 months after signing off), Schengen Visa
• seaman’s book (national and flag state)
• seafarer medical examination (at least valid till the end of the intended contract onboard VOS BV vessel)
• BST and other rank based STCW courses (appropriate for the type of vessel trade)
• Must have a good command of the English language (both verbal and in writing), Marlins Test Certificate
• Vaccinations required for area of sailing
