Marine Asset Protection Officer (MAPSO), Baku, Azerbaijan
The Role
Based in Baku, Azerbaijan this role is to man the Marine Asset Protection System operations/ control Room for the purpose of providing authorised information & instructions to all vessels within & outside the Authority’s areas of jurisdiction thus providing safe and efficient movement of vessels within the area.
Experience & Qualifications
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Marine Asset Protection Officer (MAPSO) based in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Candidates for the post must possess a minimum of Officer in charge of a Navigational watch (OOW) STCW II/1with verified operational watch keeping experience as a deck officer on merchant vessels or a V103/1 VTS Operator certificate.
Candidates must also have Azerbaijan citizenship and be fluent in English and Azerbaijani languages.
Consideration will be given to candidates with relevant experience and in possession of other certificates.

• Strong planning/scheduling and organisational ability to handle multiple tasks
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Strong verbal and written communication
