Belships Management (Singapore) Pte Ltd was incorporated on 31st December 1983, subsidiary of Belships ASA, Norway.

Today we have subsidiaries in China, Philippines and Myanmar, supplying our own crew to Shipowners. Our China subsidiaries also offer alternative choice for shipmanagement and China ports agency services.

We are the joint venture partner with one of the leading shipping company in Germany, specializing in tankers management.

Technical Management

Since 1983 we have managed various ship types, owned by Norwegian, Danish, German, Swiss, Canadian and Japanese Shipowners:

Bulk carriers ranging from handysize to capesize
Open hatch multi-purpose carriers
General cargo vessels
Ro-Ro car carriers
Container ships
Crude, chemical & product tankers

Our vessels are closely monitored by our professional team. To ensure better control and rapport with our vessels and Owners, each superintendent is assigned to a minimum number of vessels, with backup from the Technical Team in cases of need.

In addition, we have access to a wide range of specialists through our associates worldwide.

With modern global communications, Shipowners can reach us at any time, any place, to keep abreast of ships’ movements and conditions, and for guidance and recommendations.

Ships are inspected routinely by our Technical and QA teams to ensure operations are in compliance with international regulations & Company’s policies on health, safety, quality and environmental issues.

Ships operating costs are reported quarterly to Shipowners. Any extraordinary repairs and maintenance are carried out only after consultation with Shipowners. Our Key Personnel onboard are trained in budgeting procedures to achieve cost-control.

Through our offices in China, we offer Shipowners an alternative source of shipmanagement at competitive rates, with close supervision from our Singapore office to assure them of quality shipmanagement services.

Crew Management

We provide full crew management services to shipowners and shipmanagers worldwide.

We have vast experience in manning for most types of vessels with different crew nationalities.

Through our offices in China, Philippines and Myanmar, we offer competitive rates for Chinese, Filipino and Myanmar crew.

Our other crew resources are from Eastern Europe, Myanmar, Malaysia & Indonesia.

We have a large pool of highly experienced and competent officers & crew, many of whom have served in our company for many years. We have cadetship and training programs with established maritime institutions to ensure a continuous supply of officers for our vessels, groomed and familiar with our health, safety, quality & environmental culture.

We have stringent & thorough pre-employment screening procedures. Our emphasis on training, qualification and experience ensures the right mix of crew to man the vessels. We strictly observe the onboard crew matrix & ensure this is being complied with.

We conduct annual crew seminars in strategic locations, promoting ship-shore cohesion and meeting training needs.

Port Agency

We provide full range of agency services to Shipowners and Charterers in Singapore and China ports. We understand your needs and ensure that they are fulfilled. Our boarding officers ensure that all Owners’ matters are dealt with efficiently and timely.
