Institue of Marine Studies and Research is situated in Indore [M.P.], dedicated towards conducting various courses to meet the manpower requirement of National & International Marine Industry. The Academy is one of the foremost maritime training establishments in this region with modern facilities and equipment, match by a pool of qualified lecturers and instructors. Its ultimate objective is to become a regional centre of excellence in maritime training.

With the rapidly growing shipping fleets and the constantly changing scenario at sea, coupled with the doors of India opening to the rest of the world, the maritime community has come to realize the manpower potential of India. Indian sailors have time and again proved that they are second to none as seen from the fact that today they are virtually manning vessels of all flags.
