Baltlanta has revived the good traditions of Lithuanian fishing fleet. The company was founded in December 1996 and is the largest ship owner in Lithuania.
For more than 15 years Baltlanta has been fishing and processing fish from the Baltic Sea, Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, supplying its high quality products to the customers worldwide. Main fishing grounds are in Morocco, Mauritania, Senegal, and Guinea. Fish being caught by Baltlanta’s vessels is sold in West African countries. Processed fish and fishmeal are mainly sold to Eastern European and CIS countries markets. Usual ports of discharge are Kaliningrad, Russia and Klaipeda, Lithuania.
From Klaipeda office and with a help of its partners in Las Palmas, Canary Islands (Baltic Atlant Shipping S. L.– fleet operator) and in Nouadhibou, Mauritania (Mauribalt, S.A. – technical supply and ship repair) Baltlanta ensures the high quality fish products through the knowledge of the fishing grounds, up-to-date equipment, innovations and well-trained personnel. All the vessels are certified and comply with requirements of European as well as Russian Veterinary Services.
Planned investment strategy contributes to successful company development. Due to this, despite the hard economic situation, Baltlanta was not only able to continue its business and stay afloat, but to fulfill its strategic investment plans as well.
Baltlanta owns and operates a fleet that consists of various vessel types. Presently, company’s vessels fish in the Baltic Sea as well as Atlantic Ocean, however they are able to go to any other high seas fishing grounds.
Baltlanta’s vessels are supervised by Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. All the vessels fly the flag of Lithuania. The crews of the vessels consist of the highly qualified specialists. Due to timely repairs, rational vessel operation and company’s considerable experience, trade volumes remain high.
The fleet is currently on the path of existing vessel modernization with a goal to allow catch volumes to grow in future.
