Lomar Corporation is a ship-owning and management group and a principal subsidiary of the global Libra Group. Today the company owns and manages a diversified fleet of over 60 bulk carriers, container ships, offshore vessels, LPG, products and chemical tankers.

Libra’s shipping division has invested and re-invested according to market cycles for over 35 years, maintaining a long-term industry commitment throughout. Our London-based management organisation, Lomar Shipping, provides technical and commercial maritime services for the fleet. Lomar Deutschland GmbH in Bremen manages our vessels registered in Germany while Lomar Shipping Singapore Pte in Singapore addresses our growing commitment to the Far Eastern markets. Lomar Shipmanagement Ltd., BVI, manages our growing portfolio of vessels in the dry sector.

Lomar sold 67 vessels during 2004-06, ready to re-enter the shipping market as soon as suitable market conditions arose. The $325 million acquisition of the Allocean group and its mixed fleet of 26 vessels in 2009 proved a perfect complement to our own expertise and a platform for further acquisitions.
