Mare Maritime Singapore Pte Ltd was established in May 2014 and is an independent third party ship management company based in Singapore.

Below, is the history of Mare Maritime Co. SA.

Mare was founded in 1992, bringing together a professional team with a successful track-record, managing Tankers (including ULCCs, VLCCs & Chemical Tankers) for Mobil Shipping & Transportation and for Mobil/Saudi Arabian joint ventures, for 18 years (between 1974-1992).

Since 1992, Mare has provided professional Ship Management Services to a variety of first-class Shipowner clients, including publicly listed shipping companies, an oil-major shipping subsidiary, financial institutions and several reputable Shipowning families.

Mare has successfully provided Ship Management services for vessels of various types and sizes, including ULCCs, VLCCs, VLOOs, Suezmax, Aframax, Product and Chemical Tankers.

Mare Maritime Singapore Pte Ltd in cooperation with Mare Maritime S.A is operating as 3rd Party Manager the last 22 years on behalf of a good number of reputable owners (Mobil, ODJFELL Tankers and Golden Stena Weco).

Mare is recognized as a specialist Ship Manager for all ship types, in particular Gas Carrier and Chemical Tanker.

During 1992-2001, Mare provided Ship Management services for a number of Chemical Tankers belonging to the Norwegian publicly listed Shipping Company, Odfjell, one of the world’s leading Chemical Tanker Owner /Operators.

Mare has provided Ship Management Services to various Financial Institutions, including Credit Agricole CIB (formerly Banque Indosuez) and JP Morgan Chase & Co. (formerly Chemical Bank), assisting them to trade ships (for several years in some cases) during workout situations, thereby facilitating the effective disposal of such shipping assets at a preferred point in time.

Since 1992, Mare has enjoyed an excellent track-record in terms of Operational Performance, Safety, Environmental Responsibility and Quality, and an excellent reputation within the Shipping Industry, with a wide variety of shipping stakeholders, including Charterers, Insurers and P&I Clubs.
