Worldwide & ready for the future

Redwise has continuously anticipated changes in the maritime world. We follow the market and deliver ships to customers on all six continents on which ships are built and shipping companies can be found. We do not only deliver individual ships, but also entire fleets, such as for infrastructure projects or new LNG and ore ports. We also deliver floating cranes and dredgers to their area of operation.

In view of the growing number of hybrid and dual-fuel vessels, we have complete crews certified in compliance with regulations for LNG fuelled vessels. Under the leadership of our superintendents we have already successfully bunkered and delivered several newly built RoRo and RoPax vessels running on LNG.

Independent and growing

Redwise is fully independent, following a management buy out in 2004.

What started as a an additional service, the hiring out of seafarers, led to the expansion of our crew management services into the shipping industries. Our people are regularly seconded to third parties to man ships fully or partially, allowing them to gain experience in different branches of shipping. We hereby keep an eye on everyone's personal development. The majority of the Dutch officers – the core of our ship delivery and crew management services – are on permanent contracts. We thus maintain a broad and strong basis and can guarantee a high level of experience, commitment and specific knowledge.

1906 – The start

We can look back on a long history, which began on October 13, 1906. On that day the steam tug "MOP 222B" left the Netherlands for Argentina with a five-man crew. It arrived there on January 14, 1907. Because of the limited bunker capacity, the MOP 222B had been equipped with two masts and a bowsprit for this trip. The propeller and chimney had been removed and temporarily lashed on deck. So our first ship delivery trip took place under sail!

Inventive, flexible, robust and reliable, with an eye for the customer and for our employees, these are the qualities that to this day form Redwise’s DNA.
