TRANSOCEAN-CAREER UG is a recruiting company based in Germany, fully certified and complies with all legal requirements.

We supply primarily Filipino seafarers mainly the top four ranks (Captain, Chief Officer, Chief Engineer and 2nd Engineer) but not limited to these.

We do the preliminary procedures such as screening, selection, evaluation, interview, background check up, and all necessary prerequisites for a seaman to be qualified to join a vessel. Based on the request specifications of our clients, we select potential candidates from our databank. Only candidates with matching qualifications and competences are proposed to our clients after the preliminary procedures are done. Hence, enabling our clients to save costly resources in their recruiting and staffing process.

Stopping over international airports within and outside Europe on my various trips and having travelled frequently to my country of origin, the Philippines, gave me the opportunity to interact with Filipino overseas workers especially with the seafarers. Being in the shipping industry and having worked directly with seamen, not only did I listen to their conversations, but I could not stop myself to participate as everyone was free and welcome to join. Filipino seafarers would, while waiting for their connecting flight either to Philippines or to the port of joining their vessel, exchange experiences on board their vessels and what they thought of their employers. Listening to them, discussing with them and exchanging ideas for a better sea-career enhancement plus reports on the future of the supply and demand of seamen inspired and challenged me to look for a fair-play mechanism to fill up the employment gap within the crewing sector in the shipping industry. Thus, minimizing, if not eliminating the workforce wastage in the seafarers’ side, as well as maximizing the acquisition of the seafarers’ talent, experience and skills by the ship managers.

As a crew operator with years of experience at Rickmers Ship Management , I was engaged in working directly with seafarers of different ranks and varied nationalities, involving all crewing matters from recruiting to crew planning until the off-signing and career evaluation of the seamen. Thereafter, I was employed as a crew operator at Hellespont Ship Management GmbH where my crewing know-how was broadened and my knowledge of vessel types was expanded.

Years of employment in the shipping industry, together with my degree in Maritime Business Management (Lloyd’s Maritime Academy, England) and my degree in Business Administration (Southern Danish University, Denmark) complete my qualification and ability to understand and to deliver the needs of my clients and my seafarers to their full
satisfaction.
