Since 1934, Wallenius has been a frontrunner in the shipping industry. With a strong focus on innovative technical and environmental solutions, we form one of the world’s leading shipping and logistics groups within the car carrier segment.

The Wallenius Group consists of two core businesses; Wallenius Lines, the shareholder in several global shipping companies and owner of some 36 RoRo vessels and Wallenius Marine - overall responsible for technical and environmental development of the Wallenius fleet and also responsible for ship management.
Some 1,100 crewmembers work onboard the Wallenius vessels while we have almost 300 employees on shore at the head office in Stockholm and in Singapore.
All transportation and logistics services are performed by our different associated companies, well positioned with a broad base of customers and comprehensive global coverage. The whole fleet comprises 160 vessels which operate in almost 40 routes all over the world, with the main trades being Asia to Europe and the U.S, Oceania, the Atlantic and the Pacific.
In 2012, Wallenius’ turnover, including the associated companies, was SEK 21 billion.
All crew members on Wallenius vessels have solid training and experience. Our deck officers have completed a 3 to 4-year master mariner programme, and the engineering officers have completed engineering officer training. The rest of the crew usually has some type of maritime upper secondary school training.
