Messmen

Our crews are invaluable assets to us and it is natural to provide the best onboard work environment possible for them. We have the philosophy that most things you do ashore you should be able to do onboard. Therefore, we were the world’s first international shipping company to install broadband onboard the vessels. All vessels also have workout gym and library. If you want to work for Wallenius, we can give you an enormously interesting, fun and stimulating work.

As a messman onboard one of our vessels, your duties include to assist Cook Steward, assist in the Galley and provision areas and cleaning.
In order to work as a messman onboard one of our vessels you need to have:
Basic Safety Certificate
Medical Certificate for seagoing personnel
Seaman's discharge book
US Crew Visa

We are also looking for temporary staff who are interested in shorter contracts (for instance 10-14 days onboard).
