Job description, tasks:
Ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of allocated galley outlet, delivery of the Company brand/product to guests on board, to the highest standards and maintain exceptionaly high hygiene standards in accordance with the the company Health & Food Safety through policies and standards;
To assist with the management of the day-to-day organisation of the main galleys;
Setting-up of breakfast, luncheon, and dinner service lines and to ensures that menu items are re-supplied when prompted necessary;
Participates in section briefings on a daily routine which may be out of service hours;
Working with a brigade of up to 100 multi national staff, strong communications and interpersonal skills with other managers and staff is vital to the success of the operation;
To deliver staff training and have ship safety duties & responsibilities;
The duties will be varied working across different sections and a number of dining outlets, including the potential opportunity of working with our celebrity chef Todd Engilsh.
Requirements:
Minimum Age 21;
NVQ Level 3 Food Presentation / Preparation or CITY & GUILDS 706-1,706-2;
Must have at least 2 years experience working as Sous or Head Chef;
Must have good command of the English language both written and spoken;
Have a pleasant, positive and outgoing personality combined with a desire to succeed;
Intermediate or Advanced Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable.
