Chief Engineer

In partnership with a globally acclaimed marine figure approaching their 50th year in the Trans-Atlantic trading space, Bibby Ship Management is pleased to present opportunities for a Chief Engineer and 2ndEngineer.

On a state-of-the-art, new-build Container Ro-Ro vessel, you will support the continued transfer of oversized cargo through the US and Canada and Europe.

From the Chief and 2nd Engineer’s perspective, the position requires a confident control of WARTSILA (8-RT FLEX) engine types, ideally on high-tonnage and similar Container/Ro-Ro ships, along with experience of AMOS Planned Maintenance systems. You will also be required to demonstrate notable time in your current engineering rank and although it’s not essential, new-build experience is preferred.

All applicants must be comfortable with 15-week tour lengths and working within a mixed-nationality crew. You must also have a fully valid CoC along with a current (unrestricted) medical and all of the compulsory seafarer certificates/endorsements, ideally including a current B1 (type) US Visa, to sail in rank.
