JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to General Manager - QHSSE, he/she will be responsible for the company’s Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (QHSSE) matters on-board vessels and in the head office.
MAJOR TASKS:
Responsibilities:
Managing, complying to and maintaining the company internal code and procedures for the ISM/ISPS and related activities with regards to safety.
Managing safety inspections, unannounced audits, internal and external audits for the vessels assigned to in accordance with the ISM/ISPS code.
Managing, complying and maintaining documentation and filing systems of related departments in accordance to the ISM/ISPS Codes.
Responsible for ensuring that the fleet documentation and filing system is in accordance to the ISM/ISPS Code.
Assist in maintaining and analyzing the effectiveness of the ISM/ISPS Code.
Assisting with personnel/crew training related to the ISM/ISPS Code, including technical and non-technical training with external training institution/organization.
Liaising with external organizations for the successful and positive implementation of ISM/ISPS Code for the entire fleet.
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENT:
(Knowledge, Skill and Ability for this job)
a) Qualification:
• Diploma holder preferred in Nautical/Marine Studies.
• Certificate of Competency Class 3 or 2 preferred.
• QA/ISM / ISPS Certificate.
• 2 years of related work/field experience.
b) Knowledge:
• Internal Audit experience (ISM/ISPS) is a must.
• Prior DPA/CSO experience.
• Prior sailing experience is a must.
• Preferred some sailing experience on OSVs.
• Significant travel internationally and on-board vessels is expected.
