A specialist with more than 50 years of experience in the offshore, oil and gas industry is looking for a Yard Manager.
Job description
There is a logistics base of the organisation in Vlissingen. As Yard Manager you direct the Shipping and Receiving Coordinators and liaises with the Operations Managers.
Tasks
Supervise daily activity of a yard crew
Ensure proper documentation of shipments
Ensure that all rigging used in daily operations is in good condition with up to date certifications
Prepare equipment and supplies for shipments to vessels
Instruct yard personnel to execute work as required
To maintain inventory lists of materials and equipment on yard
To supervise and/or control loading- off loading vessels, barges and road transports and maintaining proper storage facilities
Qualifications
A technical education/background (Bachelor degree)
Practical and theoretical knowledge of transportation techniques and requirements
Basic knowledge of stock-keeping and Repair & Maintenance activities
Good command of the English and Dutch language, both written and oral
Good practical knowledge of Safety, Health & Environment and Quality Systems
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in offshore working environment
