We are looking for candidates for the following position in our Aberdeen, Scotland, office:
Superintendent (1 fte)
In this function you assess and report the technical conditions and operational expenses for an assigned group of vessels in the fleet. You are responsible for technical-related unplanned off hires, port state control and class inspections. Furthermore, you maintain communication with the Operations Department on day-to-day matters in respect of voyage operations. You schedule and supervise planned and unplanned repairs, inspections and dry dockings. As Superintendent you are responsible for the class status of the vessel and for arranging surveys. You work as part of the Ship Management Team and report to the Fleet Manager.

To excel in this function you have a Higher Vocational/Technical Education in the field of Marine/Mechanical Engineering or Ship Building/Repair, supplemented by extensive experience as a Chief Engineer/First Engineer. In addition, experience of reading nautical newbuilding/project construction drawings is required. You have strong planning and organisational skills, are willing to travel frequently and work well under pressure. Excellent verbal and written communication and reporting skills in English are essential.
