We are looking for: Group Fleet Personnel Manager

The successful candidate will be expected to lead, innovate and develop our global crewing operations and manning offices. Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop, implement and lead the company’s crewing strategy
  • Establish a competitive advantage in the market by creating a client-focused crewing culture and ensuring that we deliver world class crewing service levels to our clients
  • Identify new ways of operational efficiencies and cost effectiveness across all group offices
  • Oversee the crew operational planning
  • Ensure adequate and prompt recruitment and selection of qualified seafarers
  • Identify and lead crew sourcing in various markets
  • Prepare future crew supply forecasts
  • Introduce and oversee crew welfare initiatives
  • Oversee the assessment process to ensure talented crew are promoted, trained and retained
  • Establish training & development programs for current crew and cadets
  • Set, implement and monitor the Key Objectives, Priorities and KPIs of the global crewing activities 
  • Oversee and monitor HR Metrics and Analytics
  • Interact and maintain excellent relationships with all stakeholders such as clients, branch offices, manning offices and affiliated crewing agents
  • Represent the organisation in a number of regulatory bodies and industry associations and forums on crewing matters

Requirements:

  • Extensive senior level crewing experience and proven track record in a similar role with a shipping company
  • Seagoing experience in a senior position will be considered an advantage
  • University Degree in Shipping/Maritime Studies/Crew Management or any other related field
  • Excellent knowledge of industry rules and regulations, including but not limited to flag state requirements, STCW, BIMCO, ILO, MLC 2006
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage challenging matters with a solution driven and strategic mindset
  • High sense of initiative, professionalism and responsibility
  • Customer service minded
  • Excellent command of the written and spoken English language
  • Flexibility to travel frequently worldwide
