MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
- Report problems with vessel infrastructure and communicate using V-Sat, FBB, remote help desk
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
- Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
- Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)
- Setting up accounts for new users
- Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
- Testing new technology
- Possibly training staff members
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelors’ degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years+ experience working in a Windows/Mac environment
- Windows, Mac OS X, Office 365
- Active Directory maintenance and Exchange 2010/2016
- Mac and PC hardware, Printers, scanners, computer peripherals, Mobile devices (iOS, Android)
- Client PC connectivity - Ethernet, TCP/IP and VPN
- File server knowledge
- Experience with security products
- Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written, to a wide range of end-users
- Experience researching, analyzing and interpreting automated system problems
- Team interaction
