Your Task

• For our office headquarters as well as our growing fleet of bulk carriers:
• Provide proactive and personal technology support to our staff and our world-wide trading vessels
• Ensure that all end-user equipment deployed is up-to-date and functioning securely
• Closely manage IT and user-deployed inventory
• Assist in the day to day management and maintenance of network infrastructure including log and system monitoring, end-user issue resolution, backup verification, Internet and LAN connectivity issues, access control management, email connectivity issues, virus and malware mitigation, etc.
• Provide Windows system administration services
• Provide system administration support and administer, configure, and troubleshoot servers and work stations in the office as well as on-board the individual vessels
• Assist in the deployment of IT and communication infrastructure on-board our vessels
• Manage A/V equipment in conference rooms
• Manage ticketing work-flow for incidents and requests
• Develop and maintain both user-friendly and technical documentation

Your Qualification

• Qualified IT Specialist preferably with an adequate degree and minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Network and System Administrator
• Experience with Microsoft Exchange and SQL as well as MS Windows and Office
• Extrovert team player with a hands-on mentality
• Able to handle several projects simultaneously
• Willingness to travel (visiting our fleet of bulk carriers)
• Proficient English language skills; in writing and speech
• Able to work independently in a multi national and multi cultural environment
