Chief Officer - LNG Tanker

For one of our Norwegian flagged LNG tankers, we are searching for an experienced and motivated Chief Officer.

Duties and responsibilities

The Chief Officer is responsible for the deck department and a member of the Ship Management. The Chief Officer is also the main responsible for Cargo-Operations and daily work on deck. To mention some areas of the responsibilities, we can list the following:

• understand and follow the Company HSE&QA Safety Management System
• Deputy SSO
• Planning and safe execution of Cargo Operations
• Follow up junior deck officers in the operation aspects of LNG cargo handling
• Navigational watches
• Safety Officer

Qualifications

• Experience from LNG vessels
• Deck Officer licence (Unlimited Chief Officer II/2)
• Tankerman highest grade (gas)
• GMDSS
• ECDIS
• BRM
• STCW Safety courses (A-VI/1,2-1,2-2,3,4-1,4-2)
• Valid Health Certificate
