For our business unit in Den Helder we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced mechanic who wants to join our technical service.

Your responsibilities:
As a mechanic you are responsible for performing all kinds of technical work on board our ships worldwide. Under the instruction of the Head of Workshop, you independently carry out work on the various ships of Acta Marine in a correct and technically responsible manner.
The duties include the following activities:
- Inspection, maintenance and repair of the technical installations on board Acta Marine work vessels;
- Guides and supports the Superintendent in docking and Class Surveys;
- Advises and assists the ship's crew with regard to maintenance and malfunctions;
- Reports to the Head of the Workshop and works closely with the other employees of the Technical Service.
Your background:
It is important that you have a solid practical knowledge of diesel engines and installations. In addition, you work in a structured and accurate way, you have a healthy degree of independence and you are stress resistant.
Are you a proactive team player with a customer-oriented attitude, do you like to travel and do you have a flexible attitude towards deployment/planning of working days? Then this position is really something for you! We also expect you to bring the following experience and skills
- You have demonstrably completed technical education at MBO level 3;
- You have thorough practical knowledge of diesel engines and installations;
- At least 3 years of work experience in engineering and/or repairs;
- Technical insight, can read drawings and work according to assembly instructions;
- Experience working abroad is a plus;
- Good command of the Dutch and English language, both orally and in writing;
- Prepares regularly to work on ships at home and abroad.
