Regional Sales Manager, Europe
Wallem is seeking applications for Regional Sales Manager, Europe. This role reports to the Group Business Development Director in Hong Kong and the successful applicant will be responsible for securing new business from existing & new clients in the Europe region.
You will be required to promote the entire range of company products and services – to include (inter alia) ship management; technical services; ship agency; shipbroking; logistics & outsourced services. A key facet of the role will be in identifying business opportunities on a client by client basis and adapting our approach to best suit their needs.
You must have strong commercial and front line sales experience in the maritime industry with a good understanding of the complete value chain in which Wallem operates.
Key requirements include:
- Strong sales skills – able to understand a client’s business situation and accurately identify opportunities that match Group services or capabilities
- Excellent communication and verbal skills - know how to listen, understand and then communicate client needs back to the Wallem organization
- Good presentation and negotiation skills with proven experience in closing deals
- Able to develop contacts and relationships with the client at a range of seniority levels and manage their expectations effectively
- Team player – able to involve a wide variety of Wallem personnel and motivate people to respond proactively to opportunities or client issues
- Organized and systematic in maintaining relationships within client organizations and following up to achieve positive outcomes
- Energetic, active and sociable – able to travel extensively
