P&O Maritime is strongly positioned for sustained growth with operations in diverse locations around
the region. Due to expansion and on-going plans for business growth we have an immediate position
requirement to provide high quality marine operational and technical management across our diverse
range of maritime operations.
About the Role
The job holder will be required to actively lead the team to provide high quality and continuous improving safe and cost efficient technical management of the vessels and facilities under the responsibility of the Company.
He will also be required to manage a maintenance regime that ensures best possible life of the assets as well as to maximize the assets reliability and to ensure the machinery is maintained to allow optimal efficiency of operation.
The job holder will also be required to travel to P&O Maritime operations around the world to provide technical support this will include dockings, repairs, sea staff support, new builds, audits and inspections.
Selection Criteria
Tertiary qualifications in Marine/Civil Engineering, Chief Engineer certificates (or equivalent) or Naval Architecture qualification and experience.
Excellent communication and liaison skills in a maritime-related environment where there are complex customer requirements demanding intuition, innovation and flexibility.
High level project or management capability covering marine engineering, ship management and ship operations.
Demonstrated ability to develop technical solutions to satisfy stakeholder objectives and deliver those solutions.
Skills and proficiency in Ms Project, Word, Excel or equivalent applications.
