Electro-Technical Officer

About the role:

CSL are currently seeking expressions of interest from qualified Electro-Technical Officers / Electrical Engineering Technicians for immediate and ongoing positions onboard various vessels within our Australian fleet.

• Conducting tests of electrical systems, preparing charts and tabulations, and assisting in estimating costs in support of Chief Engineer
• Maintaining the vessel’s electrical and electronic equipment
• Adopting safe working practices
• UMS test schedules, alarm test etc
• Assisting during maintenance as required over and above electrical equipment maintenance
• First level maintenance of communications, radio and navigation equipment
• Providing support for safe and efficient running of electrical equipment during cargo operations

Successful candidates will meet the following criteria

• At least 2 years of relevant experience
• At least Advanced Diploma

For Australian Certificate of Competency Holders:

• Hold an Electro-Technical officer qualification or
• Hold a Class A Electrician Licence including 5 years work experience in an industrial electrical environment

For international Certificate of Competency Holders:

• Hold or be capable of holding an Electro-Technical Officer qualification in the country of CoC issue; or
• Hold a Marine Electrician, Master Electrician or Electrical Engineering qualification in the country of CoC issue.
