Looking for a permanent full time Third Engineer to join our cement carrier

About the position

CSL Australia is currently looking for a permanent full time Third Engineer to join our cement carrier Goliath on a roster schedule 6 on and 6 off. This position is based out of the Port of Devonport, Tasmania. As such, it is a position based in Tasmania. It is aboard MV Goliath which primarily operates in the Bass Strait. At CSL, our east coast operations technically report in to our Sydney Office (North Sydney, NSW).  The Third Engineer is responsible for compiling the list of maintenance and repairs as required.

In addition, the Third Engineer will be responsible for:

• Maintenance of the Fuel and Lube Oil Purification system, boiler maintenance and feed water control, compressed air machinery and domestic services as directed;
• the safe operation of the main engine in accordance with Class and Standing Orders;
• Safe operation of the boiler in accordance with Class and Standing Orders;
• Any other duties as required.

About you

• Educational Requirement: As per AMSA Marine Order 72 (mandatory)
• MSIC Card (required or ability to obtain)
• Current AMSA Medical (required or ability to obtain)
• Australian Citizen or Valid Work Visa (required)
