- Safety and Compliance: Implement and maintain safety procedures on deck, ensuring all operations comply with maritime regulations and company policies.
- Crew Supervision: Supervise deck crew, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely. Provide training and support to deck personnel.
- Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of deck equipment and safety gear, ensuring all are in good working condition.
- Emergency Response: Act as a key member of the emergency response team, assisting the Master in managing emergency situations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs and records of cargo operations, safety drills, and deck activities.

REQUIREMENTS
- Certification: Valid Chief Mate License up to 3000gt (or higher)
- Italian endorsement.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Chief Mate on similar vessels, preferably with experience in towing operations.
- Skills: Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills. Proficiency in navigation and cargo handling operations.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with the operational and safety requirements of tug boat towing operations in the Arabian Sea and Gulf.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform duties under physically demanding maritime conditions.
