Ordinary Seaman

Responsibilities



Assist in the maintenance and repairs of the deck department
Ensures cleanliness and sanitation of crew spaces, crew toilet and bath, galley ways, companion ways, and deck stores
Assist during docking, undocking, shifting maneuvers
Hold / Wagon Deck is swept clean prior to loading of cargoes
Operate emergency and life saving equipment
Assist Bosun in the cargo securing and lashing works
Perform other related tasks as assigned by immediate superiors
Qualifications



A graduate of BS in Marine Transportation
At least one (1) year experience on board a cargo / passenger vessel with at least 900 GRT is an advantage
Can communicate well in English and Tagalog both orally and in written
Professional in appearance
With good interpersonal skills
With good technical skills
With good planning and organizing skills
Results oriented
Can easily adapt to change

Seaman's Book
Medical Exam Results from a MARINA accredited clinic
CS from previous employer
Valid NBI
Birth Certificate
