We are looking for an experienced Able Seaman (AB) to join a Heavy‑Lift / General Cargo vessel operating worldwide. The ideal candidate has solid crane experience on heavy‑lift ships, is familiar with lashing and securing of project cargo, and can handle mooring and deck maintenance duties without supervision. This is a short‑notice position, so only candidates available immediately will be considered. Nationality: Georgian or Azerbaijani.
Key responsibilities:
- ⚓ Mooring and unmooring operations, anchor handling
- 🏗️ Crane operations (deck cranes) – loading / discharging heavy‑lift items
- 📦 Cargo securing and lashing
- 🛠️ Routine deck maintenance (painting, chipping, greasing)
- 👀 Standing wheelhouse watches as directed by the Officer of the Watch
- 🚨 Assisting with mooring stations and emergency drills
Essential requirements:
- ✅ Valid AB certificate of competency
- ⏳ Minimum 2 years’ sea service in rank on heavy‑lift or general cargo vessels
- 🏗️ Proven experience with deck cranes on heavy‑lift ships
- 🌍 Nationality: Georgian or Azerbaijani (mandatory)
- 🇬🇧 Good working knowledge of English (oral and written)
- 📋 All valid STCW certificates and seafarer’s medical
