VACANCY: Able Seaman (AB)

Heavy-Lift / General Cargo Vessel · 6 ± 1 months · USD 1,700–1,800 · Immediate joining

We are looking for an experienced Able Seaman (AB) to join a Heavy-Lift / General Cargo vessel operating worldwide. The ideal candidate has solid crane experience on heavy-lift ships, is familiar with lashing and securing of project cargo, and can handle mooring and deck maintenance duties without supervision. This is a short-notice position, so only candidates available immediately will be considered. Nationality: Georgian or Azerbaijani.

Key responsibilities:

- Mooring and unmooring operations, anchor handling
- Crane operations (deck cranes) – loading / discharging heavy-lift items
- Cargo securing and lashing
- Routine deck maintenance (painting, chipping, greasing)
- Standing wheelhouse watches as directed by the Officer of the Watch
- Assisting with mooring stations and emergency drills

Essential requirements:

- Valid AB certificate of competency
- Minimum 2 years' sea service in rank on heavy-lift or general cargo vessels
- Proven experience with deck cranes on heavy-lift ships
- Nationality: Georgian or Azerbaijani (mandatory)
- Good working knowledge of English (oral and written)
- All valid STCW certificates and seafarer's medical
