1 To assist the Second Engineer in planning and undertaking maintenance and repair schedules and to ensure that periodic machinery inspections and major repairs are accomplished 2 To monitor and maintain machinery log of repair dates, spare parts, consumable supplies and stores 3 To undertake engine room watch keeping duties, to keep a log of all watch operations and conditions including unusual occurrences and emergency signals; to ensure watches are properly undertaken and orders carried out 4 To test and maintain emergency plant and equipment 5 To report condition of engine, equipment, machinery, unusual developments and repair progress and to ensure that Chief and Second Engineers are kept fully informed of all engine room activities and developments 6 To ensure other departments are kept fully informed of any engine room activities which may effect them 7 To perform other duties as and when required by the Senior Engineering Officers Location: Abu Dhabi
