GENERAL SUMMARY:
One of our major clients requires Drillers with all levels of experience. The client requires Assistant Drillers, Drillers, Drilling Engineers, Drilling Supervisors and Drilling Superintendents You will report to the RIG Manager and be responsible for coordinating the well design, engineering and procurement for the drilling, abandonment, work-over and re-completion of wells identified in the approved rig schedule.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
To ensure all well operations are conducted in accordance with the approved Programme and in compliance with good oilfield practice.
When additional instructions or programme amendments are issued the Drilling crew must ensure that they are properly documented.
To co-ordinate and supervise the activities of personnel, the drilling contractor and service companies to ensure programmed objectives are met in a cost effective manner.
Where possible to anticipate problems and to ensure that he is aware of developing problems at an early stage in order to implement remedial action where appropriate.
To manage the logistics of the drilling operation in an efficient manner
Work closely with subsurface disciplines to deliver optimum value to all operations
Monitor the Operational Plan and Costing Reporting with a view to optimising performance, minimising non-productive time and maximising the cost-effectiveness of the operation
Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements for well intervention, maintenance and construction activities
Assist with preparation of budgets and manage costs to achieve best value for money
Liaise daily with the Drilling Supervisors during drilling, work-over and re-completion operations
Travel on onshore and offshore work-sites to assist with operations, both in the UK and oversea
SPECIFICATIONS:
It is essential that you currently hold a valid IWCF Well Control Certificate and also offshore survival, medical and MIST Certificates.
You must be eligible to work in the UK and visa's will not be applied for.
