Voyage Global Energy is URGENTLY looking for a GEP (Gas Export Pipeline) Installation Lead Engineer to work for one of the leading Subsea organisations in Norway. Specific Responsibilities for GEP (Gas Export Pipeline) Installation Lead Responsible for the Engineering activities associated with GEP Pipelay that are not undertaken by the VST (Vessel Support Team) Borealis group (i.e. initiation anchor installation scope, pipe transportation/storage scope, pre-lay prepwork activities -boulder removal, co-ordinate the Welding/NDT/FJC engineering undertaken by the Project resources).
Initiation Anchor scope: Follow up all Engineering associated with procurement and installation activities for the initiation anchor scope.
Pipe transportation: Follow up the engineering support/input for pipe transportation scope (input to Scope of work for pipehanding/transport, review of logistics vendors documentation).
Pre-lay survey and prep campaign Lead: Co-ordinate the engineering activities associated with the pre-lay survey and prep campaign, (documents /procurement/readiness).
Co-ordinate the Project Package Engineers for the firing Line activities (welding/NDT/FJC). Follow up the progress/status of their deliverables, ensure good interfacing with VST and OPPT group.
Be the Project focal point and manage the internal interfaces towards VST Borealis and OPPT (Offshore Pipeline Production Team):
The key interface is towards VST Borealis Lead (based in Suresnes)
Follow up progress of VST Engineering and deliverables toward project
Follow up that VST are being provided with the all relevant project information (pipeline Design Engineering deliverables and interfaces/ line pipe supply information/).
Follow up that VST are being provided with support from the other project disciplines (survey, precomm).
Follow up that Project Welding/NDT/FJC package engineers are interfacing with OPPT group Technical support Eng for firing line activities.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES FOR LEAD ENGINEERING ON INSTALLATION PACKAGE:
Perform day to day supervision of the project engineers working within package (allocation of tasks/checking quality of deliverables)
Check technical project documentation relating to work package (internal & 3rd party)
Co-ordinate the generation of all engineering document deliverables relating to package (installation analysis/installation aids design/installation procedures/seafastening)
Plan the delivery schedule for documents on your package (MDR). Monitor delivery of documents against the MDR, reporting progress and if required, highlighting adjustments to the planner for all deliverables
Identify package resourcing requirements/adjustments to resources to meet the delivery
Review and provide input to offshore schedule for activities relating to packaget
Run weekly package technical/co-ordination meetings to monitor package workscope, maintaining tracking register/system
Ensure the SMART lessons database and Synergi is being used actively to identify lessons relevant to the package and those lessons are implemented
Participate in technical meetings with the Client as required
Interface with the other disciplines within the Project installation and Design Engineering teams to resolve internal technical interfaces
Co-ordinate the preparation and delivery of presentations for PHA reviews/HAZOP/HIRAs for the package workscope
Involve the Discipline Leads/Manager in the package workscope where appropriate (i.e. document reviews, invitation to design reviews etc)
Ensure all equipment requirements for the package workscope are identified and NDFs/EDFs are raised in a timely manner. Ensure package is represented at procurement meetings for offshore phases of the work and that equipment is checked ahead of mobilisations
Participate in onshore testing activities associated with the permanent items to be installed and co-ordinate testing activities associated with installation aids
Responsible for Engineering Readiness reviews for the various package workscope offshore campaigns
Lead the engineering support to mobilisation activities on package
Monitor hrs spent against package CTR budget
Highlight changes to scope of work (PVOR) relating to package and make CTRs for additional engineering work – input to VORs
Follow up preparation of as-builts for your package and input of lessons learned
