SUMMARY:
Voyage Global Energy is currently looking for a Specialist Engineer - Valves to start working immediately for one of the world's leading subsea organisations, based in Norway.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE:
Provide technical advice and support to Project and Tendering Managers in relation to valve selection
Provide technical specifications for price inquiry and procurement
Maintain close liaison with the Customer's Technical Representative and Third Parties regarding valve selection, welding, materials, fabrication, testing and inspection activities
Advise on materials selection and application.
Establish the requirements in respect of all welding, materials, fabrication, and NDT activities in accordance with the applicable Specifications, Codes and Standards
The valve types most commonly used are: Ball valves, Gate valves, Check valves (piggable/non-piggable) and needle valves.
The work will include similar work as the above for flanges, hotstabs etc
Follow up abroad on fabricators facility and report to project
Solve and follow up any technical and progress related issues in the fabrication.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Engineering degree, with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
Experience from Subsea engineering of structures and pipeline systems.
Experience in writing specifications for subsea valves and flanges.
Good knowledge of Codes and Standards.
Travel requirements: Primarily office based in Stavanger, but can involve travel to other sites/locations and some offshore periods.
