Naval Architect

We are seeking talented engineers and civil engineers with experience in the design and structure analyzes of marine structures, often also with a background in class documentation. The person will have an important position in our academic environment.

Responsibilities
• Analyses and calculations for documentation of marine operations
• Typical analyses/designs:
• Structural analyses
• Jacket launch simulations
• Motion response analyses
• Stability analyses
• Software used:
o SESAM
o SHIPX
o SHIPSHAPE
o AUTOCAD
• Preparation of procedures and manuals for the planning and execution of marine operations
• Participate in the design of barge construction
• Follow up with customers, subcontractors and class / authority
• Participate in HAZID / HAZOP related to marine operations
• Project Manager for Marine Operations

Qualifications
• Higher technical education (Engineering or Civil Engineering)
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:
o Barge transport operations
o Offshore lifting / installation operations (jacket, topsides, modules, etc.)
o "Float-on/off 'operations
o "Deck feeding / float over" operations
o "Jacket launching" operations
o Structure Design (Marine Structures)
• Good English oral and written skills
• Knowledge of regulations and standards in the offshore / marine industry
• Versatile background experience is an advantage
