The HSEQ Manager will have an important position in Boa Offshore’s work to implement its policies of assuring the health of personnel employed by or working for the Company, the safety of personnel and assets, the prevention of harm to the environment and the quality of our services. The HSEQ Manager will work in close cooperation with vessel and shore management teams and the Marine Advisor, and will report to the Director HSEQ.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to develop the Company`s HSEQ Management System in accordance with the requirements of the ISM Code, ISO 9001 and other applicable standards and guidelines, Company specific requirements and other requirements applicable to the Company`s operations
- Ensure that the system is continuously improved, and that the system documentation is updated and adequate in order to reduce identified risks to an acceptable level, and that it is available at its point of use
- Ensure that the system is efficiently implemented onboard Company Ships, at the Head Office and Company field operations, including site-teams associated with the new building projects. Efficiency of the system are monitored by audits, inspections and system reviews.
- Monitor the development of new or modified HSEQ regulations applicable to the Company and its operations, and identify necessary revisions to Company HSEQ documents as a consequence of these changes
- Support ships, departments and projects in establishing ship or project specific HSEQ documents
Qualifications
- Experience in marine operations
- Good knowledge of industry regulations applicable for the operation of Offshore vessels working for contractors and oil companies world wide
- You must be excellent in English written and verbal and have good communication skills.
- Knowledge and practical experience of maritime HSEQ from work on board or shore based vessel management
- Experience from the use of software systems used for developing and implementing HSEQ Management Systems
- Familiar with offshore “best practices” and the concepts of risk management.
Personal qualities
The HSEQ Manager should be structured and proactive and have a genuine interest in improving the HSEQ performance ashore and on board. She or he should have a positive attitude, good cooperative abilities, and should be interested in motivation and training of personnel. Travelling and periods of extra work/efforts should be expected.
