We are currently looking for a Spanish-speaking Rig Manager to join our team on one of our drilling rigs in Mexico. The general responsibilities of the Rig Manager is the daily operation of the designated drilling and / or accommodation rig(s) in accordance with Company, client, and Statutory requirements and regulations, and maintaining close operational dialogues with Company and Client Representatives, subcontractors and authorities. (S)He is responsible for all operational decisions
required to ensure the safe, efficient and economic operation of the rig.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AS RIG MANAGER
The Rig Manager will operate as the Senior Representative in maintaining close operational dialogue with Company, Client and Vendor representatives in order to ensure service delivery and customer relationships are developed and enhanced to enable the Company to secure additional contracts. The same is important with regards to personnel on-board; it is critical that the Rig Manager is able to align
the crew with Company objectives, ensure their engagement, continuously develop them, and lead by example. The rig team must have the necessary leadership capabilities in order to work towards delivering the contract’s business plan.
More to the practical side, he/she must monitor the general efficiency of the operation and initiate improvement programmes where required. Furthermore, supervision of maintenance, logistics and procurement processes are part of the job description.
Finally, at the end of the day the Rig Manager is responsible for delivering the rig contract. This means achieving all safety, environmental, quality and service contract commitments, and delivering against all financial targets – economic utilisation, cost (OPEX), EBITDA and cash flow.
QHSE RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for candidates who have a minimum of 5-10 years operational drilling experience with 3-5 years experience as Rig Manager, OIM, Chief Engineer and / or Barge Engineer in the offshore Oil & Gas industry; As a minimum you master written and spoken Spanish, and are competent in written and spoken English. In addition the following requirements are needed:
High school certificate minimum; ideally you hold a degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Offshore Medical Certificate or equivalent.
BOSIET or equivalent.
MIST or equivalent.
A supportive, energetic, and pragmatic spirit with a wide variety of disciplines and attributes that will thrive in a multi-cultural environment.
High problem-solving skills, business and financial acumen, flexibility and adaptability to change are crucial characteristics.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels; employee alignment,
employee engagement, stakeholder management, and relationship building are important areas to focus on.
High degree of cultural sensitivity.
Can work in a co-operative and constructive way with a wide variety of disciplines and personalities.
Able to travel and work away from home on offshore platforms and/ or floating assets.
