Purpose of the Job:
Provide HSES assistance and advice to the organization in day-to-day company activities including tenders, proposals and operations. Facilitate development, maintenance, improvement and implementation of the HSES Management System. Facilitate the HSES Management System performance assurance processes.
Responsibilities:
Communicate Dockwise HSES policies at all levels in the organization
Participate in tender teams as HSES representative for Heavy Marine Transportation
Assess and review requests for pre-qualification and tender, deliver tender and documentation as applicable
Provide HSES support to Project Management HMT Department and Operations Superintendent
Develop, prepare, facilitate, support HSES risk assessments (e.g. HAZID, Safety cases, ENVID)
Monitor HSES progress of HSES Improvements
Organize and/or carry out HSES inspections, HSES internal audits and sub-contractor audits
Investigate incidents. Analyze, assess corrective measures, monitor implementation of corrective measures
Organizes and/or carry out HSES training and familiarization of company personnel, including vessel crews
Liaise with clients on HSES subjects
Maintain HSES Management System
Co-ordinate security assessments for transits through High Risk Area
Monitor implementation of required security measures and liaise with ship managers
Requirements:
Completed Bachelor degree or higher in marine science (MAROF, Offshore, Oil and Gas, Dredging)
At least 4 years practical experience at sea (Merchant Marine, Offshore Support, Dredging)
2 to 5 HSES experience in the Oil & Gas, Offshore and/or Shipping industry
Well understanding of HSES Management Systems and Company Management Philosophies (ISM, ISPS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001)
Knowledge of Security Management
Preferably additional qualification in safety education (eg. NEBOSH, MVK, HVK, MOSHE)
Fluent in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing
Willing to travel (frequently) around the world if needed
