Our client is one of the largest independent oil and gas exploration and production companies in Europe. Due to growth within their organisation they currently have an opportunity for an experienced ERP Specialist to join them at their London offices.
Scope of the Role
-To provide process, configuration project and end user support for SAP modules primarily Plant Maintenance and Remote Logistics Management modules.
-To have knowledge of and able to support Materials Management and Inventory Management integration points.
-Work with and participate with the Production Excellence organisation to develop and support a world class maintenance organisation
-This position is primarily a Europe and Africa support position, but will be asked at times to support worldwide E&P operations
-In addition to functional, ongoing support includes frequent upgrades to the SAP system which requires unit and integration testing, system configuration and quality assurance testing prior to transport to the production system.
Key Responsibilities
-Provide application support for SAP Plant Maintenance, Materials Management,
Inventory Management and Offshore Logistics Management modules.
-Resolve day to day system issues by diagnosing the problem and resolving issues or by changing configuration in collaboration with Houston based ERP group or logging an OSS request with SAP.
-Thoroughly test and document all configuration changes and system fixes received by SAP before migrating to production environment.
-Assist Gas Plants, Platforms, Drilling and Logistics Operations to adhere to the global processes.
-Participate in system upgrades and acceptance testing of new software releases.
-Understand and provide system support for points of integration between Plant Maintenance, Materials Management and Remote Logistics Management modules.
-Assist customers in running and interpreting results of standard and custom BI reports used in analyses.
-Participate in SAP implementation projects.
-Develop and deliver end user training courses.
-Willingness to travel for extended periods of up to 4 weeks.
Key Requirements
-Plant Maintenance module, maintenance planning
-Extensive experience in Plant maintenance / Procurement in the oil and gas industry
-Materials Management, Inventory Management, Logistics Execution and Plant -Maintenance process knowledge is essential
-Possess solid experience in SAP or related ERP systems.
-Talent and strong desire to work on highly integrated systems
-Strong analytical skills and ability to perform detail analysis to solve problems
-Strong customer oriented focus
-BSc or BA Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance and/or MBA degree preferred. Location: United Kingdom (UK)
