Requirements.
The following general requirements accepted in the "MARINE UNITY" Co., Ltd, to seamen at hiring for work on vessels of foreign shipowners are obligatory:
corresponding professional sea education;
qualification according to requirements of international convention STCW - 1978/1995/2010;
appropriate operational experience on a vessel of the chosen type;
good knowledge of the English language;
good health allowing to work on vessel.
Required documents.
For officers:
seaman's passport;
passport for travel abroad;
recommendation or response from a place of the previous work;
national certificate of the competency and endorsement for work on various types of vessel (validity should be not less than 12 months from the date of the application);
certificates according to requirements of international convention STCW – 1978/1995 (validity should be not less than 12 months from the date of the application);
International certificate of vaccination against yellow fever;
medical book with the international certificate;
Drug/Alcohol test report.
For ratings:
seaman's passport;
passport for travel abroad;
recommendation or response from a place of the previous work;
certificate on qualification (boatswain, pumpman, sailor, oiler and so on);
certificates according to requirements of international convention STCW – 1978/1995 (validity should be not less than 12 months from the date of the application);
