Marine Electro-Technical Officer-1 (or Relief Marine Electro-Technical Officer) required for self-propelled Jack up barges. They are ASD or conventional propulsion system (Solid Propeller), and will be operating in Saudi Arabia (Persian Gulf).
At all times during the term of the Contract he shall possess a valid U. S., U. K. or European Marine Electro-Technical Officer (METO) license and STCW III/6 endorsement or equivalent STCW electrical engineer certification acceptable to Saudi Aramco. He shall be so fluently bilingual that he reacts immediately to a stressed command in English.
He shall have a minimum of ten (10) years sea-going/offshore experience in maintaining and servicing electrical motors up to 1000 kW, marine switchboards and associated control / electronic equipment, electronic digital control systems, and elector hydraulic systems.
Experience with Schottel thrusters and Caterpillar alternators are desirable.
